Even if you have considered every possibility, you still don’t know what you don’t know and consequently, Stuff Happens! More specifically, there is always luck, imperfect knowledge and, of course, unintended consequences. These factors can foil the best intentions at the time of the decision.

The good news is that whether it is personal decision making or making business decisions, decisions are windows to opportunity and can be reopened and closed as often as necessary. In other words, even if stuff happens, decisions can be changed. Don’t ever lock yourself into a decision. Always be aware of new information that may indicate a better decision.
