You are in Control

ControlDon’t let situation, circumstances or people affect you because you are in control. This is a lesson I re learned and mastered this past week.

There was a large piece of equipment that I had been eyeing for a long time. When my need became urgent, I ordered the equipment. It was being shipped in a crate weighing 460 pounds. Since I don’t have a loading dock at my office, there was an extra charge for a trailer with a lift tailgate.

I didn’t think much about the potential unloading process until the freight company called to schedule delivery. They had been looking at my driveway on Google and determined that they couldn’t get the tractor trailer down my drive. After a short discussion, it was determined that the tractor would pull in the street across from our drive and I would meet them with my car and small trailer. The driver could use a handtruck on the lift gate to slide the crate into my trailer.

When the tractor trailer arrived, I quickly pulled my car and trailer onto the same street and turned around so that the back ends of each trailer were facing each other.
